Size-Inclusive Yoga is a welcoming, accessible approach to yoga that honors and supports every body, no matter its shape or size. Rather than focusing on weight loss or “ideal” body types, size-inclusive yoga encourages participants to celebrate their unique bodies and capabilities. Teachers often provide a range of modifications, use props extensively, and foster a non-judgmental environment. This ensures that all students—from beginners to seasoned yogis—feel empowered, comfortable, and confident on their mats. The result is a practice that nurtures both physical well-being and self-acceptance, inviting everyone to experience the transformative benefits of yoga.


Modifications for Size-Inclusive Yoga

We believe that yoga should be accessible, comfortable, and empowering for every body. That’s why our classes and workshops offer size-inclusive modifications designed to meet each student’s unique needs. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning after a break, we’re here to help you feel at ease and supported in your practice:

Prop-Friendly Approach

  • We use blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps to adjust poses for your comfort and alignment. These props help prevent strain and deepen relaxation.

Adjustable Stances & Postures

  • Need more room or stability? We encourage wider stances, bending the knees, or shortening the pose so you can move with ease and maintain proper balance.

Chair & Wall Support

  • If getting up and down from the floor feels challenging, or if you’d like a bit more stability, our seated and wall-supported variations provide a steady foundation.

Gentle Alternatives

  • From Child’s Pose with a bolster to a modified Forward Fold using a chair, we suggest options that help you respect your body’s limits without missing the benefits of the pose.

Non-Judgmental Environment

  • We celebrate every shape, size, and ability. Our instructors offer guidance without pressure, encouraging you to move in ways that feel right for you—no competition or one-size-fits-all mindset here.
