YogaFaith

YogaFaith

YogaFaith is a Christian-based yoga ministry that integrates biblical teachings, prayer, worship, and traditional yoga postures to offer a faith-filled movement and meditation experience. It’s designed for people who want to practice yoga while staying aligned with Christian beliefs and scripture.

What Makes YogaFaith Unique?

1. Christ-Centered Focus

  • Scripture, prayer, and worship music are woven into each class.

  • Jesus is acknowledged as the Ultimate Healer and source of peace.

  • Classes often include moments of stillness, breath work, and biblical reflection.

2. Faith-Based Themes

  • Classes might center around themes like grace, surrender, forgiveness, healing, or the Fruits of the Spirit.

  • Movements (asanas) are linked to spiritual disciplines, like bowing in worship, being still before God, or opening the heart.

3. Trauma-Informed and Inclusive

  • YogaFaith places an emphasis on being trauma-sensitive, often offering gentle, restorative options.

  • It’s welcoming to people from all walks of life and levels of spiritual or physical practice.

4. Training and Certification

  • Offers 200hr and 500hr yoga teacher training, as well as special certifications in:

    • Trauma-sensitive yoga

    • Christian meditation

    • Yoga therapy

    • Children’s yoga

    • YogaFaith Leadership

5. Ministry + Movement

  • Many YogaFaith instructors serve in churches, schools, prisons, recovery centers, and community outreach.

  • It’s not just about fitness — it’s about serving, healing, and worship through movement.

Sozo Somatics

Sozo Somatics is a healing movement and bodywork practice that integrates Christian inner healing principles (Sozo) with somatic (body-based) practices. It’s a faith-based, trauma-informed modality that helps people release stored emotional pain, connect with the Holy Spirit, and experience healing in both the body and soul.

1. What is “Sozo”?

  • "Sozo" is a Greek word used in the Bible meaning to save, heal, and deliver.

  • It’s also the name of a well-known Christian inner healing ministry (developed by Bethel Church) that focuses on:

    • Healing past wounds

    • Breaking lies or strongholds

    • Connecting directly with Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit

2. What is “Somatics”?

  • “Somatic” means relating to the body, especially the internal perception of the body (your felt sense).

  • Somatic practices help people:

    • Become aware of sensations, tension, and trauma stored in the body

    • Gently release trauma through breath, movement, sound, and touch

    • Regulate the nervous system (think: calming anxiety or stress stored physically)

Sozo Somatics = Spirit-Led, Body-Aware Healing

Combines:

  • Somatic movement, breath, and body awareness

  • Inner healing prayer & listening to God

  • Emotional and trauma release led by the Holy Spirit
  • Safe space for people to encounter Jesus in their healing
